The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has voiced his concerns over the recent struggles of the Ghanaian national football team, the Black Stars, urging the country’s leadership to take decisive action in restoring their past glory.
During a visit to the Manhyia Palace by Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams on Friday, February 14, the revered traditional leader did not hold back his disappointment.
He lamented the team’s declining performance, which has left many Ghanaians disheartened.
“If you have taken over power, ensure that the Black Stars are restored to their glory because they are disgracing us.

“We should take a good technical team and ensure that the best quality players are picked to help us get back to our glory days.
“Anytime we lose, the country gets dejected so something needs to be done about it. I trust that you can do that,” he stated.
