Salifu Amoako’s statement is foolish- Bulldog

When emotions are raw and public interest is high, even well-meaning comments can backfire. Such was the perspective of Lawrence Asiamah, known widely as Bulldog, as he weighed in on the tragic East Legon accident during an appearance on United Showbiz on UTV.

Bulldog minced no words in his critique of recent statements regarding the case, which involved Elord Amoako, son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, and resulted in the deaths of two young women, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh Baah.

“That statement was very foolish,” Bulldog remarked sharply, referring to an earlier comment on the issue made by Bishop Salifu Amoako.

However, he clarified, “I am not saying the man himself is foolish. It’s what he said that didn’t sit right, especially given the timing.”

Bulldog’s pointed criticism highlighted how, even when intentions might not be malicious, certain words can appear insensitive or poorly considered, especially when families are grieving.

As the discussion progressed, Bulldog explained his disagreement with public calls for a murder charge, suggesting instead that the situation might be better understood as manslaughter. “I disagree with the murder claims,” he said.

“To claim murder implies intent, and from what we have seen, there’s no clear evidence of malice.” Bulldog noted that much of the frustration is understandable but reminded viewers of the need for clear facts before assigning guilt.

“The videos do not show that act,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based conclusions.

Bulldog advocated for allowing the investigation to run its course, cautioning against hastily drawn conclusions that can distort the facts. “That is why we have investigations ongoing to determine. Probably, the charge would be manslaughter.

Even the bereaved family would understand from that angle,” he suggested, implying that as painful as the loss is, it’s essential to pursue a legal charge that accurately reflects the circumstances of the incident.
