In a recent episode of UTV’s United Showbiz, entertainment pundit Nana Ziega voiced significant concerns about the prophetic capabilities of renowned Archbishop Salifu Amoako.
This scepticism arose following the tragic incident involving the Archbishop’s son, Elrod Amoako, whose reckless driving resulted in an accident that claimed the lives of two young girls in East Legon.
Ziega pointed out that during Archbishop Amoako’s 2023 watch-night service, he delivered numerous prophecies, including dire predictions regarding the deaths of four pastors.
“He should have at least had a prophecy about this incident,” Ziega remarked, emphasizing the gravity of the Archbishop’s role as a prominent man of God. “He is not a small man of God; he carries a huge mantle.”
The entertainment pundit’s comments highlight a growing sentiment among some members of the public who feel that if a leader of such spiritual stature can miss significant events, it raises questions about the authenticity of their prophetic insights.
Ziega suggested that moving forward, Archbishop Amoako should consider reducing the number of prophecies he delivers on New Year’s Eve, stating, “After today, he should reduce his 31st night prophecies.”
Ziega’s scepticism is not isolated to Archbishop Amoako alone; he referenced other prominent pastors, questioning their prophetic accuracy in light of personal tragedies.
“How was Rev. Eastwood Anaba, who usually prophesies about various matters, unable to foresee the death of his three children?” Ziega asked, drawing parallels to the recent accident and emphasizing a pattern of lapses among influential spiritual leaders.
Many individuals turn to spiritual leaders for guidance and foresight in times of crisis, and when these leaders fail to predict significant events, it can erode public trust.
