In a fiery video that has set social media abuzz, veteran Hiplife musician Slim Buster has unleashed harsh criticisms on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His emotional outburst, posted on X, centers around the nation’s economic struggles, particularly the depreciation of the Ghanaian cedi and the perceived unfulfilled promises by Bawumia and the NPP.

Slim Busta did not hold back in his critique, reflecting the frustrations of many Ghanaians who feel the burden of the country’s worsening economic conditions.

According to Slim Buster, Dr. Bawumia, who once made bold promises about stabilizing the cedi and improving the economy, has failed to deliver on those assurances.

“Looking at how our cedi has depreciated, I’ll sit back and want to blame Kennedy Agyapong because he has always been in support of every bad decision they’ve made,” Slim Busta stated in his video, his frustration palpable.

His reference to Kennedy Agyapong, a high-profile member of the NPP and a supporter of Bawumia, reflects the growing disillusionment with the party’s leadership and economic performance.

Slim Buster recalled how Ghanaians, himself included, once believed in Bawumia’s promises to “arrest the dollar” and stabilize the country’s currency.

“This man said he was going to arrest the dollar and make it better, and we believed him because it was what we were looking for, and we voted for him,” he continued. His words echo the sentiments of many who feel betrayed by what they perceive as empty political rhetoric.

The musician didn’t stop at the failed promises regarding the cedi. He also took aim at Bawumia’s latest promises to “digitalize everything,” suggesting that the NPP’s flagbearer lacks a clear vision for the country’s future.

“You can tell that there’s no brain in this man’s head. You can see he has no vision because he will lie, and I don’t even know where the lie comes from,” Slim Busta said with raw emotion.
