A self-proclaimed spiritualist has recently claimed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has already been spiritually affirmed as the next President of Ghana ahead of the 2024 elections.
The spiritualist, whose identity has not been publicly verified, directly contradicted earlier statements made by popular Ghanaian prophet, Isaac Owusu Bempah, who had predicted a victory for former President John Dramani Mahama.
In his revelation, the spiritualist alleged that significant work had been done in the spiritual realm to secure Bawumia’s victory in the upcoming polls.
“A lot of groundwork has been completed in the spiritual realm to ensure that Dr. Bawumia becomes the next president,” he declared.
This prediction counters Owusu Bempah’s prophecy that Mahama would win the presidency, with the spiritualist going so far as to call out Owusu Bempah as a “fake prophet” who allegedly accepts bribes from political figures to make favourable prophecies.
“He is misleading the public for personal gain,” the spiritualist insisted, casting doubt on the credibility of Bempah’s past predictions.

Earlier in the month, Prophet Owusu Bempah sparked a wave of discussion after he declared that God had chosen John Dramani Mahama to return as Ghana’s president.
In his sermon, Bempah claimed that Mahama had been divinely approved because of his good-heartedness and his commitment to the well-being of the people.
Bempah’s prophecy aligned with a broader narrative of Mahama making a political comeback, particularly after his defeat in the previous election cycle. He stated, “God has favoured Mahama this time because he has a heart for the people.”
However, the conflicting declarations from both spiritual leaders have stirred debate within Ghana’s already charged political climate.
The spiritual realm has often played a significant role in Ghanaian elections, with various religious leaders making bold predictions and endorsements.
Prophet Owusu Bempah has long been a controversial figure in Ghana, known for his prophecies on national affairs, but this new challenge to his authenticity has added fuel to ongoing discussions about the influence of religious figures in politics.
