Jordan Ayew has signed with his fourth English club, transferring from Crystal Palace to Leicester City in a deal that starts at £5 million.
Having spent the last six years at Palace, where he initially joined on loan in 2018, Ayew is eager to leverage his experience to assist the newly promoted team in establishing a solid presence in the league.
During his time at Palace, he made 212 appearances and netted 23 goals, and he came on as a second-half substitute in their recent 2-1 loss to Brentford on Sunday.
Leicester manager Steve Cooper has expressed a clear intention to enhance his squad with additional attacking options.
“I’m very happy to be here and I’m proud. I want to thank the club as they fought hard to bring me here – it happened quickly and I’m so happy to be here,” Ayew said.
“As a player, when you hear that the manager wants you, it just makes you want to come and work under him and to try to improve.
“Even though I’m 32, as a player you always want to learn and improve. I’m here to work hard and help the team achieve their targets.”
Ayew has previously played for clubs such as Aston Villa, Swansea City, and Crystal Palace.
