I’m Bigger Than Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy- Wizkid Reveals Puma Turndown

Wizkid has opened up about his decision to turn down an endorsement deal with Puma, claiming the fashion giant initially approached him before opting for fellow artist Davido as their ambassador.

Wizkid did not hold back in his response to a critic who suggested otherwise. He declared, “U idiot! I turned down Puma ‘cos they could no longer afford to pay me ‘cos I wanted more! Don’t need dat! Way bigger than every artiste you just mentioned! Not jealous! Love em all… With your dirty ass shirt! Idiot!” His colorful language left little doubt about his feelings regarding the situation.

The Grammy-winning artist explained that while Puma is indeed a big brand, the budget they had for the African market simply wasn’t adequate for him.

“Was cool for your client though,” he added, referring to Davido. Wizkid’s comments underscore his belief in his own value in the music industry, asserting, “I am bigger than Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy.”

In a series of fiery messages shared on X, Wizkid launched scathing remarks aimed at Davido, leading to a renewed wave of speculation and discussions among fans and industry insiders alike.

In a series of tweets that caused a massive buzz online, Wizkid insulted Davido, claiming in one of his posts that Davido has no talent.

“E no go better for Davido and him feelings!” Wizkid exclaimed, emphasizing the friction between the two artists.

“He looks for me everywhere I go like the fanboy he is! This was an event for one of my DJs, Skyla, in Lagos! We no invite dem!, he added in a different post when a fan claimed he is secretly longing to be in the same circle as Davido.

This comment not only highlights Wizkid’s dismissal of Davido but also suggests that he believes Davido’s attempts to engage with him are more about admiration than genuine friendship.
