A financial coach is urging Davido’s driver to return the luxury Lexus SUV the artist recently gifted him, raising concerns over the practicality of such a lavish present.
The coach questioned why Davido chose to buy a car worth N25 million when the driver reportedly earns a modest salary of N70,000.
While the driver publicly expressed his gratitude on Instagram for the generous gift, the financial coach criticized the decision as a misallocation of resources.
Instead of the extravagant vehicle, the coach suggested that business investment would have been a more sensible option, potentially setting the driver up for long-term success.
He has given the driver a 24-hour deadline to return the car to Davido, emphasizing the importance of making wise financial choices rather than indulging in luxury gifts that may not be sustainable in the long run.
It would be recalled that the Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star gifted his driver, Tunde Yussuf, a brand-new Lexus SUV, a few days ago further showcasing his generosity towards those in his inner circle.
Yussuf, who also works as a tour assistant, shared a photo of the luxurious vehicle on Instagram, expressing heartfelt gratitude and offering prayers for Davido.
This gesture aligns with Davido’s reputation for rewarding loyalty and hard work among his team. In the past, he gifted aide Afeare Isreal a Toyota Venza as a token of appreciation for his dedication.
Furthermore, in 2017, Davido surprised assistant Lateef Biola with a truck on his birthday to support his oil and gas business.
