Wizkid Goes Off On Davido- You’re Cheap, You Can’t Compare to Me

In a series of heated social media rants, Nigerian music star Wizkid launched yet another attack on fellow artist Davido, reigniting their longstanding rivalry.

Wizkid’s scathing remarks, posted in a public outburst, targeted Davido’s lifestyle, music, and personal character, leaving no stone unturned in his criticism.

“First off, you’re not as fly as me, can’t sing or make music like me, you can’t dress, you don’t make more money than me, and you don’t even have hoes like me,” Wizkid began, emphasizing his belief that Davido pales in comparison to him in almost every way.

Wizkid went on to accuse Davido of being out of touch with reality, calling him “cheap” and taking aim at the people Davido surrounds himself with.

“You’re cheap, you pull up for less than we do! Now f*** off you spoilt rich child! That’s all you are!” he exclaimed, making it clear that he views Davido’s wealth as a product of his family’s affluence, rather than his own success.

In a direct jab at Davido’s father, a wealthy businessman, Wizkid remarked, “F*** you and your dad’s money, we got ours!”

He continued to criticize Davido’s inner circle, claiming, “Every nigga around you is broke!” and mocking Davido for traveling everywhere with his lawyer. “Your dumbass lawyer flies with you everywhere dressed like Basket Mouth, lol. Our lawyers are too busy for that s***!” he sneered.

Wizkid also accused Davido of weaponizing poverty, suggesting that he surrounds himself with people who depend on him for visas and privileges.

“Naija is a place where the rich weaponize poverty, so you carry all these broke boys in real life and get them visas so they worship you and don’t tell you about yourself,” he wrote.

Wizkid further dismissed Davido’s self-proclaimed status as “001,” sarcastically remarking, “The only time you’re 001 is when you’re in your house.”

The rant didn’t stop there. Wizkid claimed Davido isn’t as successful in the Nigerian music industry as he portrays, calling him a “delusional f***” and asserting, “You don’t make more money than anybody in Nigeria in music!” To top it off, he took one final jab: “Everything about you screams cheap!”

This latest outburst continues the long history of tension between the two Nigerian music giants, whose rivalry has often spilled into public spats. Despite their massive influence in Afrobeats globally, the animosity between Wizkid and Davido shows no signs of cooling down.
