On behalf of the entertainment industry in Ghana, dancehall artiste Stonebwoy shared words of motivation with the Black Stars at a dinner event hosted by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The event held at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, January 9, 2023, was to bid farewell to the team ahead of their departure to Ivory Coast for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Describing his invitation as a great honour, Stonebwoy challenged the team to put of a good performance and possibly bring home the title on their return.
“Upon able invitation, I made sure I landed few hours ago and I had to join in. I am standing on behalf of every Ghanaian musician past and present to make them know that we are very strongly behind them in all aspects. So if along the way the spirit wants to be weary, we are ready to borrow them more spirit. So they should go and do us good and possibly win the African Cup for us,” he stated.

Ghana will be participating in the 2023 AFCON scheduled to be held in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
The Black Stars have been paired with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique in Group B.
