In a scathing attack on former president John Dramani Mahama, actor Prince David Osei has emphatically stated that Mahama is not the solution to Ghana’s leadership needs in the upcoming elections.
Taking to social media platform X, the popular actor shared his thoughts on the political landscape, specifically targeting Mahama’s policies and leadership style, while rallying support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Mahama is never the option. I said it from day one,” Osei began, making his feelings clear on the former president’s prospects in the upcoming elections. “He will plunge this country into an abyss of disaster and total poverty.
You were in opposition for eight good years, yet you couldn’t come up with any meaningful policies to improve the standard of living if given the chance again. Even your ’24-hour disco tech economy policy’ cannot be elucidated,” he continued.

Osei’s comments are reflective of the growing sentiment among some Ghanaians that Mahama, after his tenure, failed to bring about transformative policies that could improve the economy and elevate the living standards of the average Ghanaian.
The actor contrasted Mahama’s leadership with that of Dr. Bawumia, emphasizing the vice president’s impactful and feasible policies.
“Your opponent, Dr Bawumia, is making impactful policies that are feasible to bring comfort to the ordinary Ghanaians,” Osei said, underscoring his belief that Bawumia’s approach was more practical and promising.
To further highlight his support for Bawumia, Osei pointed to the hard work of Samira Bawumia, the incoming First Lady, who has been tirelessly campaigning for her husband.
“Her Excellency Samira Bawumia is busily campaigning for her husband 24/7, while your wife stays at home!” Osei quipped, drawing a sharp contrast between the two first ladies.
The actor also noted that some of Mahama’s own party members, such as former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu, were not backing his re-election bid, suggesting a lack of confidence in Mahama’s leadership.
Osei then shifted his attention to the influence of certain pastors who have publicly supported Mahama. “Yet you are being deceived by some pastors that you will win. Ayoo! 7th December is just a few weeks away, you are just wasting your money, chairman,” he remarked, warning Mahama that his chances of winning the presidency again were slim.
He ended his post with an impassioned declaration, encouraging Mahama to “save your last coins” and proclaiming that Dr. Bawumia was destined to become Ghana’s next president.
“The crown of presidency is not with you,” Osei concluded firmly. “There’s no way you can become the president of Ghana again!! Please save your last coins… Come 7th December, by unction of Elohim, who is the lifter of men, Dr. Bawumia will become Ghana’s President #1.”
