You Thought I Was the Enemy – Prophet Kofi Oduro on NPP’s Defeat

In the wake of the 2024 Ghanaian general elections, Prophet Kofi Oduro has aimed at fellow prophets whose election predictions failed to materialize, particularly those who prophesied a victory for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

During a recent interview on Okay FM, the controversial pastor didn’t hold back as he condemned the false predictions and the prophets behind them.

“If you don’t like it, don’t pay attention to your calling and be parading around with stupid prophecies that have been backfiring.

Now that the prophecies have backfired, use that energy and boldness to come back and talk nonsense, and let me see,” Prophet Oduro fired.

His words were laced with frustration as he addressed the growing dissatisfaction among the public and believers regarding the accuracy of some high-profile prophecies.

For several months leading up to the election, multiple well-known prophets had predicted that Dr. Bawumia, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), would win the presidency.

These prophecies stirred up a lot of attention and sparked heated debates across the country, with many followers eagerly awaiting the fulfilment of these divine forecasts.

However, the results of the election, which saw John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) securing victory, left many questioning the authenticity of these prophecies.

Prophet Oduro wasted no time in calling out those whose predictions had clearly gone awry. “All you care about is your stomach. Greedy prophets!” he continued, accusing them of using their influence to gain financial and material benefits rather than genuinely serving their calling.

His frustration is rooted in the growing trend of self-proclaimed prophets using election seasons to gain attention, with promises of divine insight into political outcomes.

“At the right time, I will find time to address this issue,” Oduro warned, signalling that he would take further steps to address what he sees as a disservice to the public and the gospel.
