In a fiery response to the ₦500 million defamation lawsuit filed against him, Nigerian activist and social media personality, Verydarkman, has hit back at socialite Mr Jollof with a blunt and dismissive retort.

Taking to social media, Verydarkman simply replied, “You be mumu,” in reaction to the writ of summons accusing him of making defamatory remarks about Mr Jollof’s wife.

The clash between the two figures began when Verydarkman alleged that Mr Jollof’s wife had played a questionable role in helping her husband secure a political appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA).

These comments led Mr Jollof to take legal action, claiming that the remarks were not only false but had brought unwarranted public scrutiny on his wife and their personal life. Mr Jollof is seeking ₦500 million in damages, and Verydarkman has been given 30 days to respond to the writ or face further legal consequences.

Rather than backing down, Verydarkman’s defiant reply has added fuel to the already heated exchange, setting the stage for a public legal battle.
