Prophet Nicholas Osei, better known as Prophet Kumchacha and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has once again ignited public debate with his recent comments on marriage and partner selection.
In an interview on Kofi TV, Kumchacha advised women to choose wealthy men over poor ones, especially if both have tendencies toward infidelity. He argued that a wealthy partner would at least offer financial security, contrasting it with the potential burdens of supporting a partner who lacks financial stability.
“For a woman to choose a poor man who is a womanizer, I would advise her to choose a man who is rich and also a womanizer. Why would you choose a poor man who you will have to support?” Kumchacha remarked, prompting divided responses from viewers.

The pastor’s comments tap into a long-standing debate on the role of financial security in relationships. For many, particularly in societies where economic challenges are a daily reality, financial stability is a key factor in choosing a partner.
While Kumchacha’s advice may appear practical to some, others argue that his perspective dismisses crucial elements of partnership, such as loyalty and mutual respect, which play significant roles in the stability of relationships.
But Kumchacha didn’t stop there. He also shared his personal preferences for a spouse, expressing a clear preference for physical attractiveness over wisdom. “If I were to marry again, I would choose a woman who is beautiful and has a curvy physique.
“I want a woman I can proudly show off in public. A woman who, when I see her early in the morning, makes my spirit happy, not a wise woman,” he said, adding another layer to the controversy.
