Who Said I Only Had One Album? 50 Cent Celebrates 1 Billion Spotify Streams

50 Cent has proudly taken to Instagram to celebrate a massive achievement in his music career.

The rapper’s hit album The Massacre, featuring the iconic track “Candy Shop,” has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, a milestone that further solidifies his lasting influence in the music world.

“Who said I only had one album? They don’t want to relive the nightmare,” 50 Cent wrote, responding to critics who have downplayed his success over the years.

The Massacre, released in 2005, was 50 Cent’s highly anticipated follow-up to his blockbuster debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

This album cemented his place as one of the biggest rappers of the 2000s. With a mix of gritty street tales, club anthems, and introspective tracks, The Massacre showcased 50 Cent’s versatility as both a rapper and a storyteller.

The album featured massive hits like “Candy Shop,” “Disco Inferno,” and “Just a Lil Bit,” songs that dominated the airwaves and clubs.

While Get Rich or Die Tryin’ had already made him a star, The Massacre proved that 50 Cent wasn’t a one-hit-wonder.

It sold over 1.14 million copies in its first week alone, a testament to his widespread appeal.

The milestone is a reminder of the rapper’s enduring impact and the timeless appeal of his music.

His post celebrating his achievement understandably ignited a flurry of reactions, a selection of which GhanaStreetJournal has included below.

gymfailnation: You just had to be there. Couldn’t go into a club, a house party, or turn on the radio in 2005 without hearing Candy Shop. Even the gyms were playing it 🔥

generalchiefreed: I remember bringing The Massacre to school the week it came out and the teacher took it from me. I stole it back from her desk, and we had problems ever since😂

weedsavages: i love the massacre album and curtis but people hate it just because get rich or die trying was better …. thats it … but you cannot tell me that album wasnt fire
