Ama K. Abebrese opened up about her experience with the critically acclaimed 2015 film Beasts of No Nation in an interview with Joy Prime,

“I was so nervous. I remember being so skinny from fasting,” Ama K. recalled, revealing the personal sacrifices she made during the filming process. Despite the challenges, her dedication shone through, and her audition left a strong impression on those in the room.
“One woman even said I was going to make her cry,” she shared, highlighting the emotional impact of her performance.

It is adapted from the 2005 novel of the same name by Uzodinma Iweala, which draws its title from a Fela Kuti album.
