What’s Wrong If I Eat Gari And Shito? Dan Kwaku Yeboah Asks Kwesi Nyantakyi

Peace FM Sports presenter Dan Kwaku Yeboah has responded to Kwesi Nyankyi’s apparent attempt to shame him for travelling with “gari” and “shito” by stating that it is not uncommon for Ghanaians to bring these food items as a backup supply when travelling abroad.

According to Kwaku Yeboah, even rich people carry gari and shito with them when they travel overseas. He expressed confusion as to why people were mocking him for doing the same.

Dan Kwaku Yeboah’s reaction comes in light of former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president Kwesi Nyantakyi’s revelation that he had provided significant assistance to numerous Ghanaian sports journalists, including Dan Kwaku Yeboah.

This response follows Kwesi Nyantakyi’s recent interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM, where he mentioned that during a tournament in Australia in 2008, he noticed that Dan Kwaku Yeboah was consistently absent from their dinner gatherings.

Upon inquiry, Dan Kwaku Yeboah informed him that he had brought gari and shito from Ghana and that was his sustenance. In response, Mr. Nyantakyi suggested that the sports journalist discard the gari and shito and join him and the Black Stars for dinner.

Regarding the Number 12 documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas, which led to his resignation as the former GFA boss, Mr. Nyantakyi expressed his disappointment with the journalists who contributed to tarnishing his image. However, he stated that he holds no grudges against any of them.

Amidst laughter, Dan Kwaku Yeboah acknowledged that he couldn’t defend the former GFA President due to the numerous corruption allegations against him. He defended his decision to take gari and shito to Australia, stating that he would continue to travel with it.

Furthermore, Dan Kwaku Yeboah advised the former GFA boss to remain silent and instead express gratitude to God.
