UK Boxer Callum Simpson Makes Quick Work of Elvis Ahorgah to Retain His Title

British super-middleweight champion Callum Simpson successfully defended his Commonwealth title against Ghanaian contender Elvis “The Soldier” Ahorgah.

On February 1, 2025, at Wembley Arena in London, Simpson secured a fifth-round stoppage victory, maintaining his undefeated record.

The bout commenced with Simpson asserting dominance, delivering a series of powerful combinations that kept Ahorgah on the defensive.

Ahorgah, known for his resilience, attempted to counter with overhand rights in the third round. However, Simpson’s superior technique and relentless pressure soon regained control of the fight.

In the fifth round, Simpson intensified his assault, landing a barrage of punches that sent Ahorgah to the canvas.

Despite a valiant effort to rise, Ahorgah was unable to continue, leading to the referee’s stoppage.

This victory marked Simpson’s second title defence in just three weeks, underscoring his commitment and conditioning.

With a record of 17 wins and no losses, including 12 knockouts, Simpson continues to solidify his position in the super-middleweight division

Simpson’s impressive performance has garnered attention, and he is expected to face top-ranked opponents in his upcoming bouts. His dedication and skill set him apart as a rising star in the boxing world.
