Rising artist October London has shared an amusing story involving the preview of his new single, “Bedroom Bully,” featuring Tyrese.

During a conversation on The Breakfast Club, London described how what should have been an exciting song reveal almost ended in disaster at Tyrese’s Atlanta mansion.

The event, filled with friends and collaborators, took a surprising turn when October London’s friend, Jamie, got overly excited while listening to the track.

“My boy Jamie was listening to the music, he got hyped up and he was just like, ‘Woo! This gonna be the record! It’s gonna be crazy!’” October London recalled with a laugh. That’s when things took a wild turn. Jamie, caught up in the energy, accidentally knocked over a hookah in the living room.

At first, no one seemed to notice, but London was soon puzzled by one of the security guards’ strange behavior. “I turned and I looked and I saw one of the security guys moving really fast and he started patting the floor,” London shared.

Confused, he initially thought the guard was doing a dance move, jokingly asking himself if it was the “stanky leg.” But soon the situation became clear – the rug was on fire!

What started as a fun listening session for “Bedroom Bully,” a highly anticipated collaboration with Tyrese, nearly turned into a disaster as the flames began to spread. Thankfully, quick-thinking guests and staff managed to extinguish the fire before it got out of hand, averting a potential catastrophe in Tyrese’s mansion.

London’s new single, “Bedroom Bully,” showcases his signature sound and has been generating buzz in the music industry.

Despite the brief moment of chaos, the near-fire incident will undoubtedly become part of the lore surrounding the song’s release. As London continues to make his mark, stories like this only add to the charm and authenticity of his rise as an artist.

“It’s moments like these that you just have to laugh at,” he reflected with humour and relief.
