British supermodel Georgina Cooper has passed away at the age of 46 on the picturesque island of Kos, Greece.
Her tragic death comes just months after she said “I do” to her husband, Nigel, in a heartfelt ceremony near her home in Maidstone, Kent.

Georgina’s journey took a heartbreaking turn while she was enjoying a honeymoon getaway with Nigel. After falling ill, she was rushed to the island’s main hospital.
Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated, prompting doctors to arrange for an air ambulance to transport her to Crete, where she could receive more specialized care. Despite being placed in intensive care for five days, Georgina succumbed to her illness, and her body was repatriated to England last week.
Her former agent, Dean Goodman, reflected on the tragedy, saying, “Georgina loved Greece and had looked forward to returning there with her new husband. Tragically, she passed away just two weeks ago.”
He noted that Georgina had faced health challenges during the pandemic, having been in and out of the hospital, yet she remained optimistic about her future. “She had just married and was excited about building her life ahead. Everyone is devastated. She truly was a superstar.”
Georgina’s modeling career began at the tender age of 13 when she was discovered by an agency. She gained significant recognition at 15, starring in a Bon Jovi music video, which helped launch her into the fashion spotlight.
Throughout the 1990s, she became known as London’s “original gap-toothed girl,” gracing the covers of prestigious magazines like US Vogue and The Face and working with some of the biggest names in fashion.
After stepping back from the catwalk to focus on raising her son, Sonny, Georgina shifted her career towards hospitality in Kent, seeking a more grounded lifestyle.
In June 2024, she celebrated her marriage in a charming ceremony followed by a reception in a local pub, sharing joyful moments from their wedding on social media.
Her recent return to Kos at the end of October was meant to rekindle those precious honeymoon memories, but it ended in tragedy.

The fashion community has rallied to honor her memory, with tributes pouring in from fellow models like Jade Parfitt, Erin O’Connor, Jodie Kidd, and Helena Christensen.
Jade Parfitt described Georgina as “a ray of light” whose impact on the industry was significant, stating, “Her friends and family are absolutely devastated.
“Georgina was such fun, always laughing and being mischievous in the best ways. We all wanted to hang out with George backstage. Her achievements in the industry were huge.”
