In a recent interview on Max TV, Ghanaian entertainment pundit Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, defiantly addressed the circulating rumours about his courthouse hug with gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy.
KOKA made it clear that the embrace was staged on the advice of his lawyer and was far from genuine.

“Those hugs in court were just settings. My lawyer told me to play along, so I did that. It was not from my heart. I did what my lawyer asked me to do, so the picture is fake. It was not me. I was just acting,” KOKA declared, revealing the strategic play behind the seemingly friendly gesture.
The revelation comes amid ongoing disputes between KOKA and Ohemaa Mercy, with KOKA claiming that she owes him GH¢8,000.
Adding more fuel to the fire, KOKA announced that a book is in the works which will unveil all the hidden truths about his dealings with Ohemaa Mercy. “Nobody has paid me. There is a book coming out, and it will unveil everything at the right time, but there is a contract and everything. She has not given me a dime.”
He challenged Ohemaa Mercy to produce evidence of any payments made to him, further intensifying the public feud.
This controversy dates back to earlier this year when Ohemaa Mercy reported KOKA to the police, alleging that he had threatened her. KOKA was subsequently arrested and later released on bail.
The court session where the hug took place was part of the legal proceedings, and the friendly interaction was initially seen as a sign of reconciliation. However, KOKA’s recent comments have cast doubt on the authenticity of that moment.

KOKA’s bold statements and the promise of an upcoming book have kept fans and media on edge, eagerly awaiting more revelations.
As the story unfolds, it remains to be seen how Ohemaa Mercy will respond to KOKA’s accusations and whether the book will bring closure to their ongoing dispute.
