Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, has publicly apologized to gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy after a controversial series of events that led to his arrest.
The event organizer and entertainment critic took to social media to express his remorse, acknowledging the challenges he’s faced during a period of self-imposed “hibernation.”
In his heartfelt message, KOKA stated, “Friends and fans of KOKA… I am safely back from hibernation. Although it was not a pleasant experience, I am a better person. God knew what He was doing. I thank you all for your love and support.”
Addressing those he may have hurt during this tumultuous time, KOKA specifically mentioned Ohemaa Mercy, saying, “To everyone I unconsciously wronged, including Ohemaa, I sincerely apologize.”

KOKA also took the opportunity to extend forgiveness to those who had caused him suffering, saying, “To those who made me suffer, I wholeheartedly forgive… This is water under the bridge—it flows forward and never comes back. Watch this space… I love you all.”
Ohemaa Mercy had KKOKA arrested following a dispute in which KOKA allegedly made threats against her.
KOKA, who previously worked as Ohemaa Mercy’s road manager and marketer, ended their professional relationship after claiming that she undertook projects without his participation.
The situation intensified when KOKA requested payment of GH¢8,500, and upon Ohemaa Mercy’s reluctance to pay, he allegedly made threats both online and in private.
