Following the recent arrest of Kwaku Osei Krankye Asiedu, also known as KOKA, for allegedly threatening the life of gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy, her management team has clarified the situation.
In the official statement, Team Ohemaa Mercy explained that they, along with their legal counsel, were responsible for reporting the threats made against the artist, which led to KOKA’s arrest.
They emphasized their commitment to the artist’s safety and took full responsibility for initiating the legal process.
“Team Ohemaa Mercy would like to address the events of yesterday and provide clarity on the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Kwaku Osei Krankye Asiedu (KOKA),” the statement read.
“We want to categorically state that Becky of JoyNews had no involvement whatsoever in this matter, nor was she responsible for the arrest of KOKA, as some have speculated.”
The management team extended a sincere apology to Becky for her name being unfairly mentioned in the situation, assuring her that she had no knowledge or involvement in KOKA’s arrest.
They expressed regret that she had been drawn into the issue without any justification.
The statement concluded with a promise of further updates as needed, aiming to ensure transparency and resolve any remaining misunderstandings.
