On a recent episode of The Toast Show on GHOne, media personality and entertainment critic Abena Moet shared her thoughts on the gym culture, revealing why she abstains from going.
When asked by the host about her opinion on the gym, Abena Moet responded, “Well, you know, there’s a saying that the gym is a great place to be and all, but it’s also gradually crossing the line into a place of prostitution.”
She went on to explain, “What I do not know, I cannot talk about. I haven’t been to the gym in forever. I hear about it, though.

“Right now, the whole gym craze, especially around my neighbourhood, is crazy. The girls going there, they’re dressing up, like, I can’t even…
“It’s because of the outfits that I haven’t gone to the gym. It’s true. They come with their bags and they just look a certain way. The gym has now become a whole aesthetic.”
Abena continued, expressing her scepticism about what’s happening inside the gym, saying, “I don’t know if maybe something is going on in there that we, those outside, do not know about. But I won’t doubt it.
“I won’t say for sure that it’s true, but I will not doubt it because of how I see the ladies and the guys.
“I can bet you certain guys go to the gym just because of the attention they get from it.”
