Shatta Wale has made a passionate plea to Ghanaians, especially the youth, to vote wisely in the upcoming December 7 elections.
The multiple award-winning musician called for a departure from old voting habits and a shift towards selecting leaders who genuinely have the country’s best interests at heart.
“We need to vote for someone who has the country at heart this December 7,” Shatta Wale stated, his voice firm and impassioned.

“But woe unto any of you who vote for someone who doesn’t have the nation’s best interest at heart.
If they come into power and ruin our country, I’ll make sure thieves attack such a person.” His words, dramatic yet thought-provoking, are sparking debate across social media, as Ghanaians reflect on the weight of their votes.
The musician, never shy to speak his mind, added to his criticism of politicians: “Ghanaians hate the truth,” he said.
“When I was coming here today, I saw so many potholes, yet these MPs move around with motorcades and do nothing. So, you should vote against them.” His comments highlight a growing frustration with the disconnect between politicians and the daily challenges faced by ordinary citizens.
Shatta Wale’s message is not just about condemning the status quo but calling for a new way of thinking when it comes to elections.
“Don’t go to the polls and vote just because of party affiliation,” he urged. “That old 1992 voting mentality should be over because we’ve grown past that.”

He believes it’s time for Ghanaians to move beyond traditional party loyalty and vote based on the actions and character of the candidates themselves.
