Presidential hopeful and leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako has drawn parallels between the political landscape and the achievements of Nico Williams and Kobbie Mainoo at the UEFA European Championship.

Nico Williams was named the man of the match in the final, which Spain ultimately won. His goal in the game was also crucial in Spain’s journey to victory, showcasing his exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

Following the end of the championship, Nana Kwame Bediako, known widely as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Ceasar took to social media to commend Nico and Kobbie, both of Ghanaian descent.

In a post on X sighted by GhanaStreetJournal, the aspiring politician highlighted their success as a testament to the potential of Ghanaian players if given the right opportunities.

He said their families’ stories, from overcoming immigration challenges to representing their nations on a global platform, serve as inspiring examples of humility, courage, and a relentless pursuit of success.

He posted: “Congratulations to @SEFutbol and Nico Williams for winning the Euros and commiserations to Kobbie Mainoo. These two young men are sons of the Ghanaian nation.

“The story of their families is a testament to the success Ghanaians can achieve when given opportunities.

“From overcoming the challenges of immigration to representing their countries on the world stage, they exemplify humility, courage, and an unwavering hunger for success.

“As a nation, we must strive to provide our youth at home with the same opportunities available to the diaspora. Power and success to the Ghanaian youth.
