In a heartfelt tribute to the late Christian Atsu, singer Akwaboah has released an emotional song titled “Ride on to Heaven where you belong and you will forever be in our hearts”.

As a result of the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023, Christian Atsu was unable to escape. His body was discovered under the rubble on February 18 after a 12-day search and was flown from Turkey to Ghana on Sunday 19, February 2023.

After the news of the footballer’s passing was made public on Saturday, February 18, 2023, a number of Ghanaian celebrities shared their thoughts and condolences on the loss of Christian Atsu on their own social media profiles.

But, Akwaboah has taken it to the next level by writing a song in tribute to Christian Atsu, who was named Player of the Tournament in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. The song is titled “Christian Atsu Tribute – Ride On.”

Throughout the course of the slow-paced song that lasted for two minutes, Akwaboah spoke about the positive experiences that Christian Atsu brought to Ghanaians when he was playing for the Black Stars from 2012 to 2019.

With the lyrics of the song, Akwaboah expresses his belief that Christian Atsu would make it to paradise and find a place to rest in the arms of the Lord because of the excellent things he has done.
