Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has spoken openly about his intention to provide guidance and support to young musicians in the future.
In an interview with Feeling Daddy on Empire FM in Takoradi, he discussed his plans to educate aspiring musicians about the music business so that they can avoid making the same mistakes made by well-known musicians.
“My future plans involve identifying emerging talents and offering them guidance to comprehend the music business in Ghana. This initiative is designed to prevent them from repeating the same mistakes that some of us have experienced,” he noted.
Additionally, Shatta Wale discussed how some media outlets in entertainment in Ghana have damaged his reputation over the years, highlighting his ability to strategically turn negative criticism about him into positive outcomes. “I consistently leverage these opportunities to transform negativity into positivity for my personal gain,” he said.
In response to criticism from certain media personalities who argue against his eligibility for a Diplomatic Passport, in contrast to the proposal put forth by former French Ambassador Anne Sophie Ave, he expressed the view that these media figures should redirect their energy towards endorsing and championing the cause with politicians rather than attacking him personally in their discussions.

Shatta Wale is one of the many Ghanaian musicians who has never been shy about sharing his thoughts on sensitive musical and political matters. Many of his supporters admire him for not being afraid to say what’s on his mind, while others criticise him for going too far.
