Former England international Jamie Redknapp has hailed Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo for his impressive performance at Bournemouth at the beginning of the new season.

After Bournemouth’s second match of the season, which ended in a draw against Newcastle, Redknapp described Semenyo as a remarkable talent whose market value has significantly increased.

He emphasized that Bournemouth stands to gain a substantial profit from Semenyo’s eventual transfer, citing his attributes as those of a top-tier player.

Last season, the Black Stars striker was Bournemouth’s second-leading goalscorer in the Premier League, netting 8 goals. He received a contract extension over the summer, securing a five-year agreement.

“Bournemouth was the better team and with Semenyo on the right wing, he is an absolute star. And I don’t want to be selling Bournemouth’s players but we’ve got a few days in the window.

He cost 10 million from Bristol. What a great signing he was. He is worth a fortune. He is such an elegant, graceful, and powerful player. He’s got everything, that young man,” he told Sky Sports.

Jamie Frank Redknapp is a retired English professional footballer who played from 1989 to 2005. He currently serves as a pundit for Sky Sports and writes a sports column for the Daily Mail.

Renowned for his technical skills and creativity as a midfielder, Redknapp was also known for his precision and strength in taking free kicks.

Throughout his career, he represented AFC Bournemouth, Southampton, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, where he captained both Liverpool and Tottenham.

Redknapp earned 17 caps for the England national team between 1995 and 1999 and was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals of Euro 1996.

His tenure at Liverpool was particularly notable, as he played over 237 league matches, including a captaincy role, and contributed to the team’s victory in the 1995 Football League Cup final.
