Rev Owusu Bempah Drops ‘Explosive’ Allegations About IGP Dampare

Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has made some shocking revelations about the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare.

According to him, Dampare has a ‘mafia’ within the police force that kills people secretly. He categorically stated that these syndicates were the ones who terrorised him recently when he had a brush with the law.

In his sermon delivered to his congregation on Sunday, September 10, 2023, Rev. Owusu Bempah claimed that the IGP was in charge of an infamous police squad that had mistreated him when he was in their custody.

“I have heard that the IGP has a group in the police service and all they do is kill people. This group of policemen were the same people who came for me.

Additionally, the controversial Pro-NPP cleric also said these tendencies will drag the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) into opposition.

He further said that Dr Dampare despises him because, when the NPP leadership approached him to ask him to pray for the candidates for the job, he suggested another candidate instead. The prophet claimed that he endured hardship in order to prevent the current administration from being taken for granted.

Relatedly, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah has made the bold declaration that he will determine the winner of the 2024 general elections.

Rev. Owusu Bempah claims that all of his political predictions, including the controversial 2016 victory of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, have come true. He stated that whoever wins the presidency in 2024 will be through him.

This latest statement of his came at the end of an explanation he gave last week regarding a widely shared audio clip in which he is heard threatening politicians and the Inspector-General of Police.

“Look, whoever will be president will be from here; whether you like it or not, believe it or choose not to, I rest my case,” he said to applause and cheers from members of his congregation.

The well-known minister also mentioned his mentoring of Reverend Kusi Boateng, Secretary of the National Cathedral Board, in the same lecture.

“A young man who through me God helped, Victor Kusi Boateng, then you are with Dampare and the Vice President, and I am calling because Chairman Wontumi asked me to call. When I was calling you as a friend and brother, I called more than 10 times, and he didn’t pick up.

“Then someone from the inside called me to tell me that Victor said he wouldn’t pick up my call and that they should do to me whatever they were doing to me, but this is someone that I brought up… Victor Kusi Boateng cannot deny that I brought him up and that it was through me that he travelled. I said all that in the recording, I don’t fear. I spoke to plenty of people out of anger,” he said.

Reverend Owusu Bempah was reacting to the contents of a viral audio in which he was captured threatening the Inspector-General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, and the president. He made it clear that all disagreements with the IGP and other major politicians have been settled, and that he was at peace with all of them at this moment in time.
