An entertainment pundit has found herself in the eye of a storm after launching a personal and scathing attack on popular gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye.
The remarks, made during a discussion on Gye Nyame 94.5 FM, have sparked outrage among social media users, with many condemning the pundit for crossing the line.
The controversy stems from Empress Gifty’s apparent joy over the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) loss in the recently concluded elections.
The pundit accused the gospel artist of being ungrateful, claiming the NPP had indirectly contributed to her personal success.

“She should be thankful to the NPP government,” the pundit alleged. “The money her husband, Hopeson Adorye, made from the party is what she used to go for her nyash upgrade.”
This accusation—targeting both Empress Gifty and her husband—struck a nerve with listeners and fans alike.
The pundit further claimed that Hopeson Adorye, a known NPP member, was dismissed from the party for allegedly attempting to embezzle funds. “Her husband was sacked for trying to embezzle funds, so Empress should stop being bitter,” she added.
