Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has stated that there are huge expectations when it comes to representing the national team of Ghana.

Sulemana while recounting his first experience at the 2022 World Cup with the Black Stars said playing for the team comes with a form of pressure despite the huge pride it emits.

“It’s an enormous honour.” It is a wonderful honour for you to have been picked out of our 30 million citizens. There is no room for hesitation once you get onto the field; you must give it all. “There are a ton of people watching you and counting on you,” he told the Southampton media in a recent interview.

“There is some pressure there, but without pressure, you wouldn’t perform to your full potential. If there is no pressure, we won’t push you beyond your comfort level. I thus consider it a tremendous honour to represent my country and look forward to continuing to do so.”

Recall that after passing his medical in France, Sulemana signed a lucrative four-and-a-half-year contract with English Premiership team Southampton, often known as the Saints.

According to information that has reached us, the Saints signed a player for a club-record fee. 4.5-year contract, €25 million deal.

After the two teams negotiated an agreement with Rennes, Sulemana was forced to pick between Southampton and Everton.

He decided to go to Southampton, where he will play with his Ghanaian colleague, defender Mohammed Salisu. In 2021, Sulemana transferred from the Danish team Nordsjaelland to Rennes for an estimated €20 million.
