Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has shared an emotional moment with his fans, revealing his daughter’s name while dedicating a phenomenal goal to her.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian footballer scored a stunning second goal in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium, a win that broke their three-match winless streak in the Premier League.

In an Instagram post that accompanied the goal, Partey announced that his daughter is named Alaia.

His celebration was heartfelt: while pointing towards the stands, Partey sucked his thumb—an affectionate tribute to his newborn, who was watching the match from the stands with his girlfriend, Janine Mackson.

Partey’s powerful strike from outside the box was a trademark of his ability, curling the ball into the far post, and he was quick to dedicate the goal to his new daughter. “This one’s for you, Alaia,” Partey seemed to convey through his celebratory gestures.

The couple, who welcomed their first child in January 2024, marked an important personal milestone alongside the footballer’s professional achievements.

His daughter’s name, revealed in this touching moment, adds a layer of personal joy to his recent on-field success.
