Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo has announced a 26-man squad for the upcoming AFCON qualifying matches against Niger and Angola.

As anticipated, the selection includes some unexpected choices, with Inaki Williams making a return, while team captain Andrew Ayew has been omitted.

The announcement took place at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) headquarters.

The Black Stars will kick off their AFCON qualifying campaign against Angola on Thursday, September 5, at Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a match against Niger on September 9 in Berkane.

In their last encounter in June, the team secured consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
