Osman Bukari Nets Hat-Trick Within 30 Minutes In Serbian League

Osman Bukari scored a hat-trick against Backa Topola to lead Red Star Belgrade to their 34th league victory.

The 24-year-old scored three goals in the span of 28 minutes to help the Serbian powerhouses win 4-1 at Red Star Stadium. Ifet Dakovac’s early penalty kick gave the visitors the advantage, but Burkari tied the game just before halftime.

Afterwards, the quick forward gave Red Star the lead at the hour mark, and Guelor Kanga increased it eight minutes later. With 15 minutes left, Bukari secured the outcome as Red Star Belgrade successfully defended their league championship.

Since joining the Serbian powerhouses during the summer transfer window, the former Accra Lions player has been in incredible form. It was his second hat trick for the team. In 25 games for the team, Bukari has currently scored 11 goals in the league.

Osman Bukari was recently in the thick of affairs when his second-half goal saved the day for the Black Stars in their second-leg match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying encounter against Angola on Monday in Luanda.

Despite being outplayed for the majority of the match, Ghana was able to secure a 1-1 draw, keeping their place at the top of the qualifying group and moving closer to qualifying for next year’s tournament in Ivory Coast.

Ghana’s victory hinged on the brave alterations made by Chris Hughton. Hughton decided to replace Kamaldeen Sulemana, Antoine Semenyo, and Mohamed Kudus with Joseph Paintsil, Inaki Williams, and Osman Bukari after losing a goal and struggling to create opportunities.

In the absence of captain Andre Ayew, who was ruled out with a knee injury, and with the news that vice-captain Thomas Partey was ill prior to the game, Ghanaians felt apprehension.

Losing these two players would have been terrible for the Black Stars. Nonetheless, the available players rose to the challenge, and Daniel Amartey, who stood in as captain, led the squad with distinction.
