Premier League side, Nottingham Forest have reportedly signed Ghana forward Andre Ayew until the end of the season, according to reports shared by the club on social media on Thursday.

The Ghana captain joins from Al Sadd in Qatar, where he has played since 2021, scoring 15 goals in 21 league games and taking home the Qatar Stars League championship the previous season.

The 33-year-old returns to Britain, where he previously held positions at Swansea City and West Ham United. Steve Cooper, who previously served as the Welsh club’s head coach in 2019, will once again serve as his coach.

“It’s a great feeling to sign for Nottingham Forest,” said Ayew. “Steve Cooper is someone who knows me very well and knows how to work with me both on and off the pitch.

“I know what I can bring to the team, I’m ready to give my all and make sure that we are able to stay in the Premier League.”

Ayew has 113 caps and has participated in three World Cups, including the one that was held in Qatar last year. On Sunday, Nottingham Forest will play host to Leeds United, a team two spots and three points below the Midlands team in 13th place with 21 points.
