A ‘mystic’ cat known for its accurate game predictions during the ongoing African Cup of Nations has stirred up a buzz with its latest forecast regarding the upcoming match between Ghana and Egypt.
The footage, which is making the rounds on TikTok, captured the moment when the cat whose name is Nimbus Prono cautiously approached three small glass bowls placed on a table. Each bowl symbolized a potential outcome: a victory for the Black Stars, a triumph for Egypt, or a draw.
Initially, Nimbus seemed inclined to devour the contents of the bowl on the right, indicating a win for Ghana.
However, it hesitated and ultimately chose to consume from the bowl in the middle, suggesting that the game would conclude in a draw.
This prediction by the feline has garnered significant attention from football enthusiasts, particularly due to its accurate forecasts for previous matches such as Nigeria vs Equatorial Guinea, Mali vs South Africa, and Senegal vs Gambia.
As of the time of writing this report, the video had amassed over 8000 likes and 1000 comments, further fueling the excitement surrounding Nimbus Prono’s uncanny abilities.
Meanwhile, a leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has sent a strong caution to Ghana’s Black Stars ahead of their crucial fixture against Egypt in the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
According to Gabby, the Ghanaian team should treat the match as serious business and not anything like a honeymoon trip.
“The Black Stars should not play in Abidjan tomorrow as if they went there for a honeymoon. AFCON is serious business,” he wrote in an X post.
The caution by Gabby comes on the back of a slow start by the Black Stars to their 2023 AFCON campaign in Ivory Coast.
Ghana lost 1–2 to Cape Verde last week in their opening match of the tournament, sparking signs of an early exit.
Paired with Egypt, Mozambique and Cape Verde, Ghana needs a good show from the current AFCON to redeem itself from a rather abysmal performance put up during the most recent edition, where the team failed to make it past the group stages.
