Lionel Messi has become football’s most decorated player after Argentina’s victory over Colombia in the Copa America finals, surpassing previous record holder Dani Alves from Brazil.

Following this triumph, Lionel Messi now boasts an impressive total of 45 trophies, earned both at the club and international level.

Throughout his remarkable club career, Messi has claimed the majority of his titles with Barcelona, including 12 league titles (10 with Barcelona FC and 2 with Paris Saint-Germain), 4 UEFA Champions League titles (all with Barcelona), and 17 domestic cups (15 with Barcelona, 1 with PSG, and 1 with Inter Miami).

Additionally, he has secured 3 UEFA Super Cups and 3 FIFA Club World Cups. On an individual level, Messi has achieved a record 8 Ballon d’Or awards and 6 European Golden Boots.

Unfortunately, during the game with Columbia, Messi was forced to leave the game in the 64th minute due to an ankle injury, which left the Argentina captain in tears as he was substituted.

Regardless, La Albiceleste continued to fight on and ultimately secured the victory in extra time with Lautaro Martinez’s goal in the 112th minute.
