Leicester City Gain Promotion To Premier League

Leicester City has gained promotion back to the top tier of English football after just one season in the Championship, thanks to Leeds’ defeat which gave them a four-point advantage with two games remaining in the regular season.

As they headed into the final two matches, the Foxes only needed to win one to secure their promotion, but it was sealed even earlier when Leeds suffered a loss to Queens Park Rangers.

Their fate was officially confirmed on Friday night when Daniel Farke’s team was defeated 4-0 in West London, with Ilias Chair, Lucas Andersen, Lyndon Dykes, and Sam Field all finding the back of the net for the hosts.

Following the conclusion of the match at Loftus Road, Leicester’s official social media page posted a video showcasing the players celebrating, prominently featuring Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leading the jubilant festivities.

The 25-year-old midfielder then revealed that there are no signs of the party slowing down among the squad, writing on X: ‘Right… who’s out in Leicester tonight?’
