Kurt Okraku Has Failed – Ghanaians Vent Their Spleen On Black Galaxies After Crashing Out At CHAN 2023

Following Black Galaxies’ abysmal performance at the 2023 edition of the CHAN tournament which culminated in the disgraceful defeat at the hands of minnows Niger in the quarter-finals, Ghanaians have stormed social media to hurl insults at the country’s football administrators.

Niger won thanks to an own goal by Ghanaian defender Konadu Yiadom in the 11th minute and an exquisite finish by Soumana Hainokye Boubacar.

Niger played with purpose and tactical discipline the whole regular period. Following a mistake by his club teammate Augustine Agyapong, Ghanaian goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad made a spectacular save in the seventh minute to prevent Niger from scoring the game’s opening goal.

After the break, Soumana Hainokye Boubacar scored a stunning goal to give Niger a bigger advantage in the 50th minute. The game-winning goal by the ex-Aduana Stars player may rank among the greatest in the entire tournament.

The team’s poor performance has angered Ghanaians and the unanimous thread tying all their grievances has been shared online.

Particularly, the country’s poor performance in all sporting disciplines over the years essentially centred on the Black Stars has caused much concern. The FA president Kurt Okraku has also been singled out for criticism as seen below;
