Popular Ghanaian preacher and social commentator, Kumchacha has shared a shocking experience involving over 20 dud cheques he received from pastors and prophets during his mother’s funeral.
The outspoken spiritual leader did not hold back his disappointment, recounting the betrayal he felt from individuals he expected to uphold integrity.
“I have about 20 cheques with me, and they are all dud cheques,” Kumchacha revealed. “They were bounced at the bank. I intend to bring the cheques next time so I can call out their names for them to come and collect their useless cheques. I hate what they did, and I’ve asked my mother’s ghost to deal with them.”

His revelation highlights a deeply personal struggle, made worse by the suspicions of his own family. According to Kumchacha, relatives wrongly assumed he had received financial gifts from prominent figures but was unwilling to share.
“My family members thought I received cheques and didn’t want to share with them,” he explained. “But the reality is that all the cheques bounced. I’m shocked that Men of God would engage in something like this.”
The revelation has sparked conversations about accountability among religious leaders. “It’s disheartening to think that men who preach honesty and righteousness could do something like this,” Kumchacha added. “If you can’t help, don’t promise. But don’t give a cheque you know will bounce. It’s not just disrespectful; it’s fraudulent.”
