Juju At Work? Wire Removed From Jojo Wollacott’s Injured Finger As He Undergoes Surgery

Jojo Wollacott is gradually making a full recovery from a broken finger that required surgery to remove a wire.

Wollacott who plays for Charlton Athletic in England has been sidelined for weeks as he attempts to recuperate from an injury that occurred days before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

His head coach Dean Holden provided an update on the goalkeeper’s condition, saying that Wollacott’s fingers had a wire removed and are still healing.

“Jojo Wollacott has had the wire removed from his finger and that’s gone well. The surgeon was pleased with that so we now need to make sure the finger heals. As soon as that’s the case, we step him forward and move him back into training in the next couple of weeks” he said.

Jojo Wollacott has been the number-one shot-stopper for Charlton Athletic since joining the club in the Summer transfer window. He is expected to be back in action soon after undergoing further surgical treatment for his broken finger.

This new development has reinforced the notion that his colleagues, notably the goalies in the Black Stars who were all his subordinates might have used juju on him to be taken out of the team so they could earn the spotlight in his stead at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ultimately, it was Lawrence Ati Zigi who replaced him at the global football showpiece and put on a fine display in the three matches Ghana played in Group H.

We are sure the conversation will thicken around this theme when this new update hit social media.
