JAY-Z has spoken out against a rape lawsuit filed against him, describing the claims as baseless and calling for the case to be dismissed.
The lawsuit, filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe, accuses the hip-hop mogul of sexual assault. However, JAY-Z, born Shawn Carter, and his legal team have challenged the allegations, pointing to inconsistencies in the complaint.
In a statement shared online, JAY-Z expressed confidence in the outcome, labeling the lawsuit as frivolous. “This incident didn’t happen.
“And yet [Buzbee] filed it in court and doubled down in the press,” he stated, referring to Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing Jane Doe. He added, “True justice is coming.

“We fight FROM victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but, soon.”
JAY-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, also issued a strong rebuttal in a statement to CNN, criticizing the actions of the legal team representing Jane Doe. “It is stunning that a lawyer would not only file such a serious complaint without proper vetting but would make things worse by further peddling this false story in the press,” Spiro said.
He further confirmed that they had asked the court to dismiss the case. “We are asking the court to dismiss this frivolous case today and will take up the matter of additional discipline for Mr. Buzbee and all the lawyers that filed the complaint.”
Legal experts have noted that the strong wording of JAY-Z and Spiro’s statements could indicate plans to pursue sanctions against Buzbee and his team for filing what they believe is a meritless lawsuit. If proven, such a move could have significant consequences for the plaintiff’s legal representatives.
