It’s Not Possible To Save Christian Atsu – Turkish Authorities Confirm

In a new development to the Christian Atsu story, Turkish authorities have said it’s not likely Christian Atsu would be found alive.

The rescue crew told reporters earlier in the day that their infrared camera had found Christian Atsu’s room within the Hataya Renesince building. Later, they promised the player’s family and those of the other people trapped in the rubble that they would hasten their efforts to free them, alive or dead.

However, after hours of frantic efforts to rescue all those trapped from Residence A1 Block where the Ghanaian player was housed, the rescue team has said there’s no hope of saving anybody, dead or alive.

The rescue crew stated that despite their unceasing efforts, they realized that there is nothing else they can do to free the victims who are currently trapped under the Renaissance building’s residence A 1 block, according to a publication sighted on Ghanaweb.

This sad report comes days after Marie-Claire Rupio Atsu, the wife of Christian Atsu shared with the BBC the last time she interacted with her Ghanaian husband before the tragic earthquake hit Turkey.

According to her, she was in touch with the former Chelsea winger on Saturday morning before the devastating earthquake on Monday morning.

In a video shared on the Twitter handle of BBC News UK, Marie Claire Rupio said she and her kids are deeply troubled over the whereabouts of Christian Atsu.

“The last time he spoke to us was on Saturday morning, It’s just surprising for his club to confirm he’s found and after 11 hours we hear something different, but I trust and still believe he’s alive,” the wife of Christian Atsu said.
