Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty has opened up about her collaboration with highlife sensation Kuami Eugene, revealing a unique story behind how their song came to life.
In an interview on Adom FM, Empress Gifty shared that Kuami Eugene had reached out to her with an unexpected call, telling her that he had dreamt about her being part of a song.
“He said he had a dream and had seen me in the song, so I said okay, he should send the song to me,” she recounted, highlighting how Kuami Eugene’s vision for the track immediately sparked her interest.
After listening to the song, Gifty knew right away that it was meant for her. “I knew that this was the song for me,” she shared, reflecting on the powerful connection she felt as soon as she heard it.

Despite being on tour, he wrote, produced, and mastered the song, taking care of everything with an impressive level of involvement.

Empress Gifty expressed her gratitude for his commitment, saying, “Kuami Eugene wrote, produced, and mastered the song, he even recorded the song.
“I think that time he was on tour. He came to Ghana, did everything and then went back.”
