Ghanaian rapper Guru NKZ, also known as Maradona Yeboah Adjei, opened up about his latest song Bebree and its significance following his recent victory in the Student Representative Council (SRC) elections at the University of Ghana.

“I will continue to put smiles on the faces of my NKZ fans and continue to do what God has asked me to do,” Guru stated, emphasizing his commitment to entertaining his audience.

He explained that the song serves as a celebration of Christmas and his electoral success.

Reflecting on the potential backlash he would have faced had he lost the SRC election, he said, “The level of mockery would have been gargantuan if we lost. But now that we have won, we need to show them that God has been good.”

Guru candidly shared his feelings about his unexpected role as a student leader, acknowledging the honour it brings despite his established career in music.

“Who am I to be given such a prestigious position because I was known on the stage to perform?” he mused, attributing his success to divine favour.
