Guru highlighted the significance of the SRC elections, stating, “If you want a clear representation of Ghana’s politics, then look at what happens at the University of Ghana during our SRC elections.
“That’s what researchers stand on to determine the outcome of the general elections in the country.” This assertion underscores the idea that the behaviours and preferences of student voters can foreshadow broader electoral trends.
The rapper also celebrated his electoral victory in the SRC elections, noting the unprecedented voter turnout of nearly 20,000 students. With a resounding win by over 9,000 votes, he expressed his excitement humorously, saying he deserved “an egg to eat in celebration of my victory and hard work.”
