Kuame Eugene has given his fans a rare glimpse into his creative process during an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM. While discussing his daily routine, Eugene revealed that much of his musical inspiration strikes during an unexpected part of his day—his morning shower.
“I wake up early, around 5:30 AM,” the “Rockstar” began, setting the scene for what might seem like a standard routine. But what followed was anything but ordinary. “The first thing I do is head straight to the bathroom. That’s where most of my creative inspiration strikes me,” he shared.

Eugene, known for hits like “Angela” and “Wish Me Well,” went on to explain that his bathroom is more than just a place to freshen up—it’s a personal sanctuary where creativity flows.
To fuel this inspiration, he has even installed speakers in his bathroom, allowing him to play his music on repeat while showering. “It really helps me refine my work before I finalize anything,” he added.
The interview host, Andy Dosty, couldn’t hide his surprise at the idea of bathroom speakers being a vital part of Eugene’s creative process. “Speakers in the bathroom? That’s a first for me!” Dosty exclaimed. Eugene, smiling at the reaction, admitted that many people—especially fellow musicians—are often taken aback when they learn about his unique setup.
“You should see their faces when they realize I’m serious about my music everywhere, even in the shower!” he laughed, clearly enjoying the surprise his process evokes.
As the conversation continued, Dosty curiously asked whether Kuame Eugene listens to music from his peers during these sessions. “Of course!” Eugene confirmed with enthusiasm. “I enjoy all genres of music, and it greatly influences my own music-making process. Listening to others helps me evolve as an artist.”
