Shatta Wale has attributed his strained relationship with fellow artist Stonebwoy to external influences, particularly media narratives and industry manipulations.
Speaking in an interview on Fakye Showbiz, the outspoken musician shared his frustration about being misunderstood and the role he believes the media has played in fueling rivalry.

“You people are the reason why Stonebwoy feels I am his enemy,” Shatta Wale said, addressing the hosts.
He explained that despite the widespread perception of enmity between himself and Stonebwoy, he harbours no animosity. “I don’t know what problem we have. Recently, I was in a meeting, and someone asked me about the feud between me and Stonebwoy, and I told him I had no idea.”
The dynamic between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy has long been a topic of interest in Ghana’s music scene, often seen as a rivalry between two of the country’s most prominent artists.
While there have been moments of reconciliation—such as their joint peace conference in 2019 following the infamous VGMA altercation—tensions have periodically resurfaced, usually driven by comments from fans or intermediaries.

Shatta Wale expressed concern that the same tactics used to create friction between him and Stonebwoy are now being directed at rising star Black Sherif.
“What they’ve done to Stonebwoy is the same thing they want to do to Black Sherif,” he warned, emphasizing the pressures and divisive tactics that can plague young talents in the industry.
