Stonebwoy has spoken candidly about an experience that left him feeling disrespected, saying he had to address the issue head-on.
The Ghanaian star described an encounter that didn’t sit well with him.
“It was just awkward. I don’t remember exactly what was said, but Small God is my witness—we just said hi and moved,” he recalled During an interview on the Afrobeats Podcast in New York which was monitored by Ghanastreetjournal.
Afterwards, Stonebwoy and his team questioned the intent behind the moment.
“Maybe it was the energy, but it felt like a trap, like they were trying to see if I would react,” he admitted.
Unable to shake off the incident, Stonebwoy decided to reach out.
“The next day, I messaged Frankie and told him, ‘That thing you guys did wasn’t nice.’ I was hurt,” he revealed.
He emphasized that despite the situation, he has always maintained respect for his colleagues.
“I ask anybody who knows what’s up to come out and say Stonebwoy is a bad person. Let’s see. I respect everybody, but that was a big deal,” he stated firmly.

Stonebwoy also messaged another top industry figure, expressing his disappointment in a well-mannered way.
“I told him, ‘Boss, I don’t think what you guys put up was right.’ I had to be honest,” he said.
Although he doesn’t often address such matters publicly, this time, he felt compelled to speak out.
“I’m not the type to openly disrespect anyone, but I also won’t stay silent when something isn’t right,” he concluded.
